The estate, owned by the Masini family since 2000, is on a single hill, 40 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and arable land. Villa la Selva, the heart of the estate, is an ancient mansion that already belonged to the Buonaparte family.
Your experience will continue in the cellar where you will learn everything there is to know about biodynamic winemaking processes. - The Cosimo Maria Masini company is located in the hills of San Miniato, an ancient medieval village in the heart of Tuscany, the land of wines and white truffles.
- The villa, called La Selva, is an ancient dwelling that was once owned by the Buonaparte family. In the mid-nineteenth century, the Marquis Cosimo Ridolfi, founder of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Pisa, purchased the property.
- Among the different wine varieties produced here, is an almost extinct native vine called ‘Sanforte’, whose genetic heritage has fortunately been recovered.
