Experience description
The 25-hectare estate is located a few kilometres away from San Gimignano, immersed in the spectacular scenery of the Tuscan countryside. The company has been owned by the Ciappi family for generations, producing excellent wines thanks to the features of this land.
Casa alle Vacche carries on a "family" conception of winemaking, based on looking carefully after every step of the process (from grape cultivation to harvest and vinification). The company focuses on native vines in order to go back to the origins, when the ancient crops meet modern technologies.
The mission of Casa alle Vacche is to make you feel at home, offering you Tuscan homemade products. A family member will talk to you about their history and take you through the vineyards, where you will learn more about the processing methods and the morphological features of this land. You will then be invited to their family room to taste 5 wines accompanied by a typical Tuscan lunch, with local and traditional products (including crostini, cold cuts and cheeses from the area, fresh homemade pasta and cantucci biscuits with Vin Santo).

Curiosities
- The company earned the Agriqualità trademark awarded by the Tuscany Region, and it uses integrated farming techniques respecting the environment.
- The name "Casa alle Vacche" finds its reference in history: in fact, in the 1800s, this area – especially where you can see the oldest building - was used as stables for the cows that was used to tow the wagons and work in the fields. The typical vaulted brick ceiling on the ground floor of the oldest building bears witness to this original use. The name also wants to evoke the simplicity, genuineness, and hard work of a family of winemakers.

- San Gimignano: this is one of the most popular destinations in Tuscany. In 1990, this medieval village featuring iconic towers became part of the Unesco Heritage. Visit the Torre del Podestà: with its 54 meters of height, it’s the highest tower in town since 1311.
