Light Lunch in the Winery, Guided Tour and Tasting of Badia di Morrona's Wines

We will visit together the winery and we will take you to discover the different levels in which it is articulated: from the cellar dedicated to the vinification of red wines, passing through the barrique cellar and arriving at the area dedicated to the aging of our wines in cement.
At the end of the visit we will sit down in our tasting room to comfortably taste three of our wines accompanied by a tasting of typical local products and a traditional first course.

Curiosities

The property was always confirmed to the Camaldolese monks by the Papacy and placed under the jurisdiction of the bishopric of Volterra, until 1284. From that year on, the Abbey was disputed between Pisans, Volterrans, Florentines and monks. Only with a military act of 1482, the vicar of the bishop of Volterra, Bartolomeo Soderini, took possession of it and made it his personal residence for the holidays.
