Experience description
The Tenuta di Artimino, owned by the Olmo family since the 80s, is a marvellous place located in the heart of Tuscany on the hills and vineyards of Montalbano territory, just a few kilometres away from Prato and Florence. Its history is lost in the mists of time: this was originally an important Etruscan settlement, later turned into a medieval village surrounded by turreted walls and, finally, a land loved by the Medici family. Here, in 1596 they built their beautiful Villa dei Cento Camini, also called Villa "La Ferdinanda".
A charming tree-lined avenue will lead you to the entrance of the Villa Medicea, from which you can enjoy a unique view of the village of Artimino and Florence.
Discover Carmignano will introduce you to the excellence of Carmignano wines, one of the oldest and smallest DOCGs in the world. Our sommelier will narrate the history linked to the Medici family and reveal all the secrets of the territory through the tasting of 4 of our main wines.
The tasting can take place in the Salone del Delfino inside the Medici Villa, on the first floor of our Biagio Pignatta restaurant, or in the outdoor panoramic space, subject to availability.
