Curiosities
- The Castle was built over an Etruscan village.
Nearby places to visit
- Massa Marittima: its history is strongly linked to the mines of silver, copper and appraisers of the Metalliferous Hills, exploited since the III Millennium BC, especially in Etruscan and medieval times. The walls, still well preserved, enclose one of the most important urban-architectural complexes in Tuscany. The marvellous square is enriched by historical buildings: the Duomo, the Palazzo dei Podestà, the Palazzo del Comune, the Loggia del Mercato, the Fonte Pubblica and the Zecca.
- Marina di Alberese: a magnificent beach of fine and golden sand, featuring wild nature and clear waters.
