Experience description
The tour begins in the garden under the ancient villa. In the heart of Chianti Rufina, admiring the view over the valley with vineyards and olive groves, you will discover the history of the Gondi, the oldest Florentine family. Here they produce wine and oil with great passion and love for the territory for 25 generations.
The visit then continues in the centuries-old cellar of wooden barrels, barrique and ancient jars, where the genuine taste of tradition is still found today. Finally, in a suggestive room you will be able to taste the results of centuries-old research and experiments, which continue from 1592: a white wine and two red wines, expressions of the Chianti Rufina area, combined with a cheese board and salami with taralli and breadsticks.

Curiosities
- The Marquis Bernardo with his wife Vittoria, together with his sons Gerardo and Lapo, are still owners of the Palazzo Gondi in Piazza San Firenze, a splendid historic building also used for some company events.
Nearby places to visit
- Mugello: a few kilometers north of Florence, the Mugello looks like a wide green valley crossed by a stretch of the Sieve river, one of the main tributaries of the Arno, the main river of Tuscany. The area is characterized by the richness of the nature of the territory and the variety of the landscape, which sees alternating flat areas, hilly sections and mountain areas, with villages and Medici residences all to be discovered.
