Experience description
Immerse yourself in the greenery of Lunigiana, at this ancient medieval castle bordered by a charming stream. Visit and taste 4 natural wines accompanied by bread and olive oil, produced by the same estate.
Casteldelpiano is the result of Andrea and Sabina’s passion for the territory of Lunigiana, the discovery of a stream and an ancient medieval castle that was once owned by the Malaspina family.
Guided by Andrea and Sabina, you will be able to visit the vineyards and the wine cellar, where they will explain their natural winemaking process. Then, you can visit the beautiful stream, made accessible thanks to a path that the owners themselves have rebuilt.
Your tour ends in the tasting room, at the heart of this medieval castle, where you will have the opportunity to taste four natural wines (one white and 3 red ) accompanied by bread with EVO oil produced at

Curiosities
- The owners have rebuilt an old path entirely surrounded by nature and starting from the rear of the castle. Walking up the trail, it is possible to reach the nearby river.
- On the estate there is an old oak which has now collapsed: it lies completely on the ground, but it continues to live and flourish.
- The entire building was a castle owned by the Malaspinas, a Tuscan noble family.
Nearby places to visit

- Cascata del Pontaccio: a wonderful waterfall immersed in the greenery of Lunigiana, just a few kilometres away from the municipality of Licciana Nardi.
