Experience description
Castello Vicchiomaggio and its enchanting village are immersed in the heart of Tuscany: the Chianti Classico, a few kilometers from Greve in Chianti and the city of Florence. A historic castle whose history begins in 1100!

Nearby places to visit
- Castello di Volpaia: It is a fortified village of medieval origin in the municipality of Radda in Chianti. Originating from the Volpaia was the Florentine family that took its name from the castle: a family that in the XV and XVI centuries was represented by a series of scholars, artists and watchmakers, of armillary spheres, compasses and nocturnes. Many works of the Della Volpaia family are kept in the Museo Galileo in Florence, in the Science Museum of London, in the National Maritime Museum of Greenwich, in the Adler Planetarium in Chicago and in other important museums of the history of science.
- Chianti Sculture Park: The Chianti Sculpture Park is a permanent exhibition of contemporary installations and sculptures. The main characteristic of the Park is the integration between art and nature. Each artist visited the forest and then made a specific proposal for the chosen place. The combination of sculptures and woods, sounds, colors and light is total. In fact, here the work of man does not tend to prevail over nature, but to integrate and exalt it.
