Experience description
The tour starts from the Enoteca Cantine Leonardo da Vinci and continues outside where the vinification in front of the large steel silos will be explained. This is the modern aging cellar where the explanation ends, surrounded by innumerable barriques.
Finally we return to the wine shop where the tasting will be carried out accompanied by a cutting board of typical Tuscan products.
The Enoteca delle Vigne is the historic winery of Vinci, which has presented more than 400 labels from Italy and other countries of the world for fifty years.

Curiosities
- Leonardo was born into a family of winegrowers and wine has always been part of his life: in the observation of the rows that from an early age inspired him for his greatest inventions, in the shopping lists where he says buying wine because he loves to drink it daily and in moderation, in fairy tales, prophecies and puzzles with ironic references to food.
- Leonardo is curious and expresses himself with an irreverent and visionary spirit even about wine: in 1515 he sent his farmer a letter explaining how to obtain a wine without defects, simply and ingeniously good, as Leonardo likes it.
Nearby places to visit
- Leonardo da Vinci Museum: not far from the winery you can reach the museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci where one of the largest and most original collections of his works is exhibited by an architect, technologist and engineer. There are more than 60 models of machines, with precise references to the sketches and annotations handwritten by the artist, flanked by digital animations and interactive applications.
- Leonardo's birthplace: a farmhouse nestled in a hilly landscape where Leonardo spent his childhood among the vineyards and centuries-old olive groves of Montalbano. Today the villa is restored and enriched with a modern museum layout.
